I remember some Module Manager plans (superseded AU client). You can try new style in usertasks submodule. There is module-updates.xml following simple www/updates/updates.dtd and once you invoke: ant changelog it creates/refreshes updates/tasklist-usertasks.html. Then you just cvs diff followed by cvs commit.
