I am no lawyer and my memory is fading but I think I have seen this 10 years 
before this patent was granted (somewhere between 1990-1995, but I beleive it 
was used even before that date --- Turbo Pascal from Borland was it, the first 
IDE I have ever bought). Of course not for Java since Java was published around 
1995.
