Line spacing

I have experienced the following problem in both 3.5.1 and 3.6. The problem
is the line spacing in the editor seems to be set to double (or 1.5) line
spacing. This originally cleared itself in 3.5.1, but I do not know how. I
have tried changing the fonts and other settings in options, but to no
avail. Does anyone know what is the problem?  I am running Netbeans under
windows xp, with Java 1.5.0 re and sdk.

It appears that there is extra spacing below each line and not above (this
being highlighted by the darker background of the selected text).
