What I mean is that with NetBeans 4.1 you are not obliged to adopt 
freeform to have multiple source support. You can use the standard 
projects. by doing so, a lot of work you had to do manually with 
freeform project (to support debug, single-file compilation, ...) are 
not any more necessary with NetBeans 4.1.

NB4.0 support multiple source directories only if your ant script is 
written therefore. Here, NB4.1 is really supporting multiple source 
directories, out of the box, for free, without any user's effort (don't 
need to create a Ant task, to keep it synchronised with the properties 
panel of the project in the IDE).
