Does it really not work to toss an AWT component into the winsys? I think the ECSI Minex guys were doing that with their Java3D stuff for a number of years now. Might have some problems with overpainting, but if you run with the flag that makes the tab control actually remove everything but the showing tab from the AWT hierarchy, it ought to solve most of the problems; probably also necessary to force heavyweight popups globally, but that's doable with either a line switch or hacking javax.swing.PopupFactory by reflection... -Tim Rich Unger wrote: > Not for free, I think.
