CVS error under Windows

Hi,

I've already filed a bug report about this 
(http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=56037), but am concerned 
and uncertain if this will be fixed for 4.1. 

I've been using cvs to connect from WinXP over ssh to a remote Debian 
box which has my cvs repository for about two years now.  This went fine 
from NB 3.4 up to NB 4.0.  Then this system suddenly stopped working one 
day for 4.0 and does not work for 4.1 either.  While the bug report does 
suggest why this is, it still leaves me stranded.

The bug report leaves me uncertain if this important bug will be fixed 
in 4.1.  If not, could someone help me figure out how to communicate 
with my cvs repository over ssh again?
