I think they are compatible, but in case of any discovered conflict the sharability features should take precedence anyway. > Well, at least you would need to share the information that "this folder > represents a project group" (so you can list it in the group switching > UI), wouldn't you? Not necessarily. You might for instance change the VCS checkout GUI to offer to create (and open) a folder group corresponding to the checkout root, rather than just opening the project associated with the root dir (if there is one). Generally, if folder groups are to be supported at all, it is trivial for someone to create and open one - as easy as opening an existing project. To "share this information" is as easy as telling someone to open a given folder; I don't think any special IDE feature is needed. > Also, for the purpose of project sharing you may need > to associate additional information with the project group, such as (and > this is speculative) the "default location of the libraries folder" > (place where the IDE copies JUnit and other jars from the Library Manager). This would not be part of the group definition, rather something else to be defined by a sharability proposal. -J. -- [email protected] x22801 netbeans.org ant.apache.org http://google.com/search?q=e%5E%28pi*i%29%2B1
