I would also agree with this. All such tools in other products let the user review data to be transmitted at the time it is about to be sent. I would suggest that if we want this module in dev builds, especially builds which might not include installers, that the dialog offering to send usage data is displayed when the IDE is shut down; and that it include a prominent checkbox (or button) to not ask again. Please also keep in mind the needs of developers trying dev builds interactively - it is already annoying enough that you need to accept the license dialog before starting the IDE in a fresh user dir. The gesture collector dialog will add one additional step to this cycle, so it is desirable that it be possible to close the dialog (and prevent it from being opened again) as quickly as possible, preferably with one mnemonic keystroke. By the way, the current GUI displays data in a property sheet format. While this may be cute, it also makes it hard to "eyeball" the entire set of data. A textfield containing all of the data to be sent in a concise format could more easily be scrolled through and inspected for obvious problems (passwords, company secrets, etc.). -J. -- [email protected] x22801 netbeans.org ant.apache.org http://google.com/search?q=e%5E%28pi*i%29%2B1
