Display Netbeans 6.0 via cygwin problem

I run Netbeans 6.0M10 on Linux server and display it on my PC via CygwinX.
Using jdk 1.6.0_02.
The GUI behavior is not quite right. For example, trying to go to the File
menu, press the mouse, then release the mouse, and the menu disappears. I
tried to move the mouse while keeping it pressed. Doesn't feel right either.
Also, to get the menu item highlighted, the mouse cursor has to be somewhere
up and to the right from the item.

Is there something I can tune on the Cygwin side or on the Netbeans side to
fix it?

Also, the GUI overall is very slow.
