Ok, sorry, I forgot to say these hardware details... So, my notebook is Fujitsu-Siemens E8200 (I guess), - processor: Intel Mobile cca 2 GHz - RAM: 2GB - I have there standart mobile disk with capacity 80 GB - OS: Windows XP updated with last patches So, I have no problem with the PC power, I think... - Importing: probably yes, I import settings from 5.5 to 6.1 ... why this is another topic, is it somehow broken or why? - Watch or Inspect view windows: The private preferences are just an edging for the variables debug view, I think this variables view have to be designed to the preferences of the most choosy developers, because if these people will see the status of the debug tools in netbeans, that it is very hard to use in everydays work, so they will start the massive reccession of Netbeans users. So if you want to cooperate on these improvemnts, so I am here, we can disscuss about that in mails, messages (or in Skype, whatewer...). But the worst netbeans (also 6.1) success blocking problem, of the 5-10 seconds freezes per aproximately every 3 minutes of netbeans 6.1 while coding in java IDE editor, is there! If nobody knows where this problem is, how to solve it (it's normal, it happens sometimes to developers, I understand it), ...so then I recomend to you (I mean NB developers) allow to switching OFF / ON all these wizzard features in the IDE editor of netbeans via Options dialog. That looks like genial temporary solution till time it will be fixed. As far as usability for watches goes that seems fine to me, so it is probably a personal preference, so maybe more details about the issue is needed. As it relates to the editor: What is the speed of your CPU on this single core system? What is your GB of RAM? What is the disk and disk speed? What OS are you using? Which code editor...which files exactly for issue 1? Is 6.1 worse for you than 6.0 was? Did you import settings from 6.0 into 6.1? That is another topic for debate. I don't think the wizards are going to have any impact in the editor. From what have you drawn this conclusion? I would say the performance issue wouldn't be related to the UI as much as general performance, but the others, as long as it isn't just a performance issue, would. I didn't have a comment on your number 2.
