Sorry I probably didn't explain well - a png *is* used now, but
it should not be.  The background orange colour is not correct,
you can see the same in the example page I mailed out.  So I am
complaining about it :-)

Based on the tests I've done/seen so far, I am recommending we
go back to jpg, as discussed in my last mail.  Any objections
please speak up.
