Well this is *something* like what I am proposing.  Not
completely unrelated, there are some connections (links), and
there are some small set of docs that exist on both (orig and
translated) - eg our essential docs, to make sure that a
language site has enough basic info for any newcomer.  Other
than that, it is up to the owner/team what is there.

Understood - but :

a) if just the inital few docs were there, that should need
minimal maintenance; and

b) the aim is to grow the size of the language community.
I believe making language websites like this will do this,
by making everything more easily visible and browseable
for those visitors.  The more RU visitors that see the site
and come to use NB, the more that might be interested in
helping maintain the docs there, or writing new content,
or ... 

BTW Maxym I am not suggesting you go and translate those
essential docs (that you haven't already done) right now,
and prepare for maintaining them ... I'm only using ru.nb.org
as an example.  Even if we agree to do this ISO.nb.org project,
it would be  up to each language community if and when they
do it :-)

Interesting idea, and possible ...

Hrm, but this still ties all localised pages/content to
the "parent" english version, to always mirror the english
site.  What about if you wrote some new article in RU, that
has no english equivalent ?  Where to host it, what to do
with it ?  Sure I'd encourage you to translate it into en
so we could put it on www also, but that wont happen every
time;  what if someone who doesn't speak english writes an
RU article ?  It would be a shame to not be able to put it
up.
