Great! Thanks for your offer, we have no German website content
yet, so it is very welcome. This page is the place to start :
http://www.netbeans.org/community/contribute/localise.html
Basically we have identified 5 key pages of the site that
should be the first to be translated, so we recommend starting
with them. Please read the notes on that page about encoding,
and please work on the HTML of the pages you are translating
directly (View -> Source from your browser).
BTW you are free to translate anything you like on the site
that you think is important! We suggest and recommend these
5 pages as a starting point; after that it is entirely up to
you :-)
I would also recommend subscribing and posting notes about
your work and progress to [email protected].
As to translating the IDE, you should check out the
translatedfiles project at :
http://translatedfiles.netbeans.org/
At that site are some HOWTOs to get started, and a mailing
list where others working on translations communicate. In
fact, I believe I even saw a post to that list from someone
working on a German translation of the IDE, but I'm not sure.
Perhaps you could post a note to the translatedfiles list and
ask what the status is.
Maxym, Vincent, do you know of any work on a German IDE
translation ?
Anyway, thank you for writing, and welcome! :-)
Best Regards,
