Hi all, here is the message that will be sent to the NetBeans community
and distributed to
different developer and news portals. Spread the word that the NetBeans
3.6 Beta is
available. We hope if all goes well that we will make the announcement
at 3PM Central
European Time (9AM Eastern Standard Time US).
This is a great opportunity to use the beta as a preparation for
announcing the final release.
If we work together we can make the 3.6 launch one the largest ever.
Help us to translate the Beta announcement and get the news to as many
people as
possible. Below is the official statement we will use. It would be great
if you could translate
the announcement into another language and post it to every relevant
sites. The more places
we get the announcement the better feedback we will get on the 3.6 beta
and more users
means a better IDE for everyone.
If you translate the announcement to another language and post it to a
site keep track
of all the places (URLs) that you distribute the announcement so we can
reuse them
for the actual 3.6 final release. Also if you get front page take a
screenshot and we can
put together a page of all the interesting places NB appeared.
Also if you know of any sites that would be willing to use a NetBeans
logo get it
here: http://www.netbeans.org/community/guidelines/nbvisual.html
or more
here: http://www.netbeans.org/community/teams/marketing/movetheneedle.html.
Keep track of the URL they use the logo and we can see how many people were
referred to NetBeans.org.
Also here is the new banner that will be used. Feel free to distribute
the URL & image

Good luck!
