Proposal for maybe a solution for a right column

I was searching for a solution for the display of the right column or not.
But until now, I hadn't found a good solution.

Maybe that now, I founded a good solution therefore:

Having 4 css files.

the first css file disable the left and right column.
the second css enable the left column but disable the right one.
the third css enable the right column but disable the left one.
the fourth css enable both the left and right column.

For modules, we can use the same principle for the right column than the 
one we are now using for the left menu.

So, imagine the following:
I want to use in my main page of fr.netbeans.org all the width.
I add a reference to http://www.netbeans.org/netbeans_all_width.css in 
my document

I want to use only the left column of , I use the netbeans.css
I want a right column, I add a reference to 
www.netbeans.org/netbeans_right_column

somethings like that.

What does the css ?
It hides or not the columns.
