Hi there, Attached is a HTML describing the changes I have compiled so far from replies from the NetBeans developers. I don't have the time currently to get the rest of the modules done, feel free to pickup on it. Kind regards, Manfred

Changes

a11y
No changes.
ant
The Ant module in 5.0 has Navigator integration. Settings moved to the new Options dialog. "Always Show Output" option added, default on. And some bugfixes.
apisupport
Module development tools were unsupported in NetBeans 4.1. As of 5.0 they are a major and newly supported component of the regular IDE download. The changes in apisupport are extensive and too numerous to summarize.
beans
No major changes betweeen 4.1 and 5.0
classfile
The classfile module has been enhanced to support the new Java 5 generics, annotations, variable arguments, and enums.
clazz
No major changes between 4.1 and 5.0.
collab
Since 5.0 shipped as part of the IDE. For the rest mostly cosmetic, internal structural changes and bugfixes.
contrib
The contrib/* modules are never in the IDE distribution so information about changes between IDE releases is not tracked!
cpp
Changes have been done outside of the NetBeans group. Uncertain if module still builds for 5.0.
externaleditor
No changes worth mentioning. Major changes are planned for after 5.0.
extbrowser
No significant user visible changes.
