What are you expecting to see ?
Is your bundle started ?
Do you have a deployment plan or did you just drop your bundle in 
deploy/ dir ?
What is you metadata.xml ?

Did you start with just the empty sample I pointed to you ?
If so, did you try to just add a System.out statement when the component 
is started ?

At the moment, you cannot easily change the underlying OSGi framework, 
but theoretically JOnAS should work also with Equinox...
