Ok, many things here:
1. As per the J2EE 1.4 schemas (EJB 2.1 support), your ejb-jar.xml is 
invalid (miss the home interface). As you're using EJB3, you don't have 
to provide an ejb-jar.xml
2. ClientStubGen is only useful for EJB2.1 client. Not useful for EJB3 
client (we've changed our plumbing so no stub geenration is required)
3. As per Java EE 5, any jar in lib/ of the ear is a library, they are 
auto-detected and added in the classloader (no need to reference libs in 
application.xml)
4. if your clientapp is 'myClientApp.jar' in the application.xml, it is 
expected to be at the root of the earr (not in the lib folder)
