Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: WF-187
Summary: Hibernate configurations should not use vm id generator
Type: Bug
Status: Assigned
Priority: Minor
Project: OSWorkflow
Components:
Core
Versions:
2.5
Assignee: Patrick Lightbody
Reporter: Peter Mayne
Created: Wed, 30 Jul 2003 7:22 PM
Updated: Wed, 30 Jul 2003 7:22 PM
Description:
The current .hbm.xml Hibernate mapping files use "vm" as the index generator. This means that multiple workflow clients may generate unique keys that aren't unique. The Hibernate documentation explicitly warns against this.
The generator should be changed to "native", to allow the database to generate unique ids.
