Having such files should be seen as a convenience way. I agree it's
platform dependent and so it leads to portability problems, etc... But
if a user doesn't want to use it, he can still use its installation of
ant without any trouble.

I'm not an expert of ant classloader and i haven't ever heard about
these problems. I guess you're right and so the idea should be
abandoned.
