Re: Commons Logging Issues

Which components use commons logging besides OSCache? I don't think there
was any particular reason why it was chosen for OSCache over log4j. Fabian
Crabus added it originally to the 1.7.x codebase (since there was no real
logging support in OSCache previously), and I merged a lot of his code into
some of mine to form the base for OSCache 2.0.

Having said that, I don't have a problem switching OSCache over to log4j
(especially after having read that article - thanks for the link!) unless
anyone has strong objections? I'll get this done before 2.0 final (which I
was hoping would be this weekend however this depends a bit on WEB-15).
