Eric, This is definitely in the plans (and has been for 4 years hehe). Once all the components get mature I think we'll see this become a reality. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Eric Pugh Sent: Monday, October 20, 2003 1:53 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [Opensymphony-developers] Should OSUser jar include osuser-default.xml I think the other comment about what the appropriate one to use if nothing is available is good.. I think having a "Please provide a config file" error is better. On a related note, something I would like to see is more integration of the various OS projects. I think having similar build files, nightly builds etc will help. What I mean more specifically is more integration between the various packages. For instance, the Hibernate providers for Propertyset, OSWF, and OSUser all are slightly different in the mechanics of dealing with hibernate, yet they all are solving the same problem, how to interface with Hibernate sessions. Another one would be having a single config file.. Having a osuser.xml, osworkflow.xml, propertyset.xml etc means lots of seperate files to check for changes.. Having something like opensymphony.xml that all the projects shared would be nice.. Or, is that what the Conductor project is all about?
