Hi Dave, Let me know how you go. I have to work out the same thing for OSUser with WLS 7. My app. is currently on the back burner, as I work on something else, but I'll have to pick it up soon. Also, you could consider just using declarative security in the J2EE container for authentication / authorisation and holding profile information, correlated with the username gained from getUserPrincipal() in the request, in OSUser. This seemed the easiest workaround for me, if LDAP was being too fussy. I would imagine profile-related data would be nice, but we don't need it. This app will be running in a Weblogic 7 J2EE container so now I'm trying to see if I can connect to WL's security realm (which is already connected to LDAP) via osuser. Are there any examples or instructions for this? Currently I have the EJBs and the app deployed in an EAR and I get an error from osuser about the "defaultDS" not found. Thanks!
