Have a look at my reply to this question from a couple of weeks ago. This isn't as simple as it my seem. I can't see how expiry should work, plus things get nasty when you take the disk cache into consideration (do we load all the objects that aren't in memory in from disk?). Also, since items can be knocked out of a group at any time (due to eg LRU), I'm not sure how useful a snapshot of a particular group would be anyway since there's no guarantee it contains all the members you might expect it to. What do you intend to do with the returned collection?
