I have a form. It has a textarea. If a user types a British pound sign into it and posts it back to the server webwork adds an ƒÂ‚ in front of the pound sign. I want it not to do this.

I have the encoding of the page set to UTF-8 and the following lines in my webwork.properties

webwork.i18n.encoding=UTF-8
webwork.locale=en_GB

ANyone have any suggestions?

(In fact I have just noticed that this forum does the same thing, the character bellow was entered as a single pound sign)
