Newbie question: getting rid of "customOnsubmit" ?

Hi, Newbie question: When using < ww:form ... > , is there a way to *completely* avoid generating the javascript function "customOnsubmit()" ? I was hoping to get an HTML form that looks liks this: < from action="myAction" >... Or: < from action="myAction" onsubmit="" > ... The point being : in the HTML, there's no trace of 'customOnsubmit()'.
