Thanks for taking the time.

 I haven't tried it in 2.2.4.. BUT I think it has to do with the new ognl.

 The problem shows up if you have a ':' in the key, 
  e.g.  name=actionMap['a:b:c'] value = 'bbbbb'

If I change the ':' to a '|' , it works !  

 Is there a way to have ognl NOT interpret the value between the single quotes ?
