I'm using Java JDK 1.4.2_12

Were you ever able to resolve this?  I cannot use this in production if WebWork randomly breaks other actions .. 

What is stranger is that, If I deploy locally on my machine one action is messed up (using Tomcat 5.5) and If i deploy to our Dev box (using Weblogic 8.1 sp4) another action is messed up.

I dont know what to make of this.

I'm not sure if we're using xerces, I see xml-apis.jar included in my LIB directory.

I also see commons-digester.jar
