Actually,

I have a similar experience with Jboss 4.0.1 and the official 
flashremoting ear.
In Jboss 4.0.0 everything seems to work but in 4.0.1 I can't connect to 
the gateway.
I suspect that there must be a security issue appended in the new 
version of JBoss 4.0.1
