Re: Connecting to webservice

OpenAMF is implemented in Java. 
So if you want to use it, you're gonna need to
find and setup a Java backend.
Otherwise, where would OpenAMF run?

If you setup a Java Server, with OpenAMF, 
you could setup a proxy service to access the
remote webservice. But you don't code Java,
so that would be a little challenging.
I don't think OpenAMF has any out-of-the-box
web service proxy functionality. 
Even if you got that proxy setup, it seems a rather 
round-about solution. The performance gains
from using AMF would be lost in the extra trip
through the proxy server, I'm guessing. 

I'm guessing it would be simpler for you 
to skip OpenAMF, and connect to the 
webservice directly through Flash. 

Flash MX 2004 apparently has a web service connector.
