Ah ha! 5 months after my post I managed to find time to get it working. With a little debugging on AMFSerializer. The Macromedia BlackBoard example includes custom-class, these classes are regular POJOs and define their fields as "public int value;" they do not define standard getter and setters for their fields. The AMFSerializer class in OpenAMF was getting an empty propertyDescriptor list from PropertyUtils. So all I did to make it work was create a complete set of getters and setters for all custom-class'es. Since the original Macromedia AMF engine must be able to handle this situation natively, would there be any merit in making OpenAMF see all public fields (as well as getters and setters) to allow ease of porting such applications. AMFSerializer#writeObject(Object object) the call to PropertyUtils.getPropertyDescriptors(object) needs to be able to see public fields too and recurse into those at that point. Hope this info helps someone else! Darryl -- Darryl L.
