Hi Jewel,

Best option for you will be the custom made socket server which can communicate with both flash and Java.Speed won't be an issue if you manage the enviornment properly.

  Hi

I am Jewel. Iam working on a project where I require to use Flash in an Embedded Application. The Application works on a Standalone Terminal and is written in Java.

We are planning to divide this in to two layers one User Interface Layer using Flash
and the Logic in the Java Application but still both reside in the same terminal.

I would like to know how I can use Remoting Concept without using a Web Server.

I went through the OpenAMF and found that it uses Servlets. But we are not interested
in using Web Server Or Servlet Container. I knew that an lternative for this is XML-Sockets Communication but we are not interested in using XML due to memory and processing speed constraints.

We have HTTP built into our application.
We need comuunication from both sides i.e., From Flash to Java and Java to Flash

I would like to know if I can transfer data from Flash to my Java Application without
using Web Server. Can anyone give me ideas asto how I can achieve this.

Is it possible to trim the OpenAMF Source and achieve this.

  Thanks in advance

  Rualta Jewel.
