maximun number of message que

Hi list;
  Its been so long since i visited the site. Anyways
here is our problem. A years ago  we developed a SMS
application that queries a members social security
system info like contibution,loans etc....on a
government DB that runs oracle. We made use of
openjms-7.2, tomcat-3.1, Redhat Linux 7.1,
mysql-3.23.51, jdk1.3.1_02. Essentially openjms was
use as a queing engine since a huge volume of request
arrives every second. During our benchmarking we made
use of Jmeter from apache project to throws 5k to 100k
message to tomcat on which our application sits and
capture all request and throws to openjms for queing
purposes and to be read by another application who
does the information request to another application.
At the hight to almost 20k openjms just dies without
any error.We also notice that the number of message
ques on mysql meessages and message_hadles are
different. Has anyone encountred this error before?
