In 0.7.5 and earlier, Tyrex was the default connection pool, with Proxool provided as an (experimental?) alternative. At this stage, there is no compelling reason to switch from commons-dbcp to proxool (more work, no time), but proxool's monitoring features could be useful in future for performance tweaking. -Tim > -----Original Message----- > From: openjms-developer-admin-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org > [mailto:openjms-developer-admin-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org]On Behalf Of Bill > Horsman > Sent: Monday, 27 October 2003 7:29 AM > To: OpenJMS Developer List > Subject: [openjms-developer] Proxool and OpenJMS > > > Hi all, > > Disclaimer: I'm one of the Proxool developers :) > > I notice that you have dropped Proxool in favour of DBCP for 0.7.6 > because "the latest versions of Proxool require JDK 1.3".
