Can you send Instant Messages with openJMS to programs like AOL IM ?

Hi All,
I have an application that uses openJMS to send emails and pages. What I am
wondering is if I can add functionality to this app that will also send
Instant messanges to third party apps like AOL IM and Yahoo.
Could someone point me to any documentation regarding doing this sort of
thing?
