Summary: Increase Version To 1.0

Initial Comment:
Our project is interested in using OpenJMS as an
alternative to WebLogic, SunAppServer, and JBOss.
However, a version release value of "0.7.7-alpha-3"
is a hard sell as it implies "not ready for prime
time." If do you consider the project still "alpha"
code, that is fine. If not, our team is at a loss at
the use of "alpha" along with a version
number "below" at 1.0 value.

The 0.7.7-beta-1 release is relatively new. There won't be a final 0.7.7
release
until people have had a chance to try it out and report bugs.

As for increasing versions to 1.0 - that will most likely be the next
release post 0.7.7.

Hello,

I agree on this request. The product is satisfying for our purpose. It is
only hard to propose as alternative when there is no major or stable
release version. Alfa and Beta versions are not encouraging...
When is there a milestone to deliver a 1.x version as major release
version planned ?
