Durable consumers and http connection

I am trying to use durable consumers under http. I am using http 
connectors. I use this consumers type to check if my client is 
connected. I am using the API JmsAdminServerIfc.isConnected(name) to 
check the client availability. After some seconds this method returns 
false, but my client is connected.

This is a bug of the http connectors?

This is the better way to check the client availability? What do you 
suggest?
