RE: Messages not getting deleted on the queue

Send a test case that reproduces the problem and I'll take a look at it.
Also attach your openjms.xml configuration and state the version you are
using.

I'm quite new to JMS too....had the same problem of messages not getting
deleted when I was sending MapMessage or ObjectMessage. But it worked just
fine with TextMessage. When I sent a MapMessage it was not deleted immed. so
it was received twice. When i put a thread.sleep() (for say 10 secs to wait
for it to be removed...) in one listener it received it and coz(maybe) it
had a lock on that message it was not received twice.  I don't know but does
it have to do anything with the persistent messages (in the database)
maybe??

If the session has been created as CLIENT_ACKNOWLEDGE,
you need to acknowledge the messages in order for them to be removed
from the queue.

Hello All,
Iam a new user of OpenJMS.Offlate iam having an issue with using it.
I sent some  5000 messages to the queue and left them in the queue for more
than 24 hours.
when i try to retrieve all the messages from the queue,iam not seeing them
getting deleted[Iam seeing the messages in the queue using admin console].
But when i restart openJMS,than iam able to see messages getting
deleted.[Again iam using the admin console for this].
 
The above problem disappears if i try to retrieve messages as soon as i put
them onto the queue.
 
Iam not setting any explicit message properties like timetolive,expiry time
etc.All being used are the default ones.
 
Can anybody help me in this regard???
