How to handle ungraceful shutdown and Durable Subcription

Dear Sirs,
WE are using Openjms 7.7.1. Alpha-1 release.
We are facing an issue as follows:
1. We have arround 100 + topics to which 100 + durable
subcribers are subcribed. 
2. These all are subcribed from the web services.
3. As web service doesnot have any API which will be
called automatically by the sever as its going down,
then in that case what happens is these subcribers
didnot get unsubscribed. And when next time these
subcribers tries to subcribeds, we get an exception
saying cannot subcribed since they are already
subcribed to those topics.  
4. The above case is also true in case the openjms and
or tomcat got shutdown abruptly. i.e. ungraceful.

In such cases how are we suppose to deal with this
cannnot subcribe again issue.


Please advice.
