Ozone and External Enviroment

Hi, 

I would like to know wich are the relationships between Ozone and
Operational System (or any external enviroment).
I need to know it because I will inject faults in Ozone Database with
a tool that understand only components concepts. So, this tool run
only in class that look to external interfaces. If possible, give me a
line of study or where I can find it in Ozone tutorial. Was I clear?
Can some one help me? I need an complete answer, please.
