You could say that, indeed, although I'm not sure how BCEL (which is a bytecode manipulation library?) is relevant here? I'm just seeing all this in a software engineering context, and the reason those "view" classes would continue to exist at runtime, is that the use of a complex "compiler" which would weave all information together, could be avoided...
