Hi ! Mr. CSR Prabhu who is the Deputy Director General, National Informatics, Centre, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), India is writing a book on OODBMS . In this book he wants to cover Ozone in detail with all its imp features and also how to use ozone as backend for different applications. So that a normal programmer can also understand it and be benefitted from. For that he wants some more literature apart from what is available on net as that does not tell the user how to : 1. create objects, 2. upload it in database, 3. how to retrieve data from those objects (it is not sufficient to tell data is retieved in collection and traversal method like in core java ) 4. what all files and packages are needed to install on ur system to use ozone( as we r facing with org.ozoneDB package... It is req but with the ozone database downloaded from net does not have this package....) and how and where to install these files ? 5. what exactly are prozy objects? why do we need them? Do we have to create them by giving some command or they are generated automatically. If an object is modified, what happens to its proxy.? 6. what are factaries objects? how do we create persistent objects from it ? pl. specify with an example.we create objects by writing 1. interface, 2. write its Impl class and then compile it . So where does factory comes into picture for creating objects ? pl. expalin. Pl. specify in steps in normal language how to use Ozone for normal applications also. For this we want your permission to include all these features in simple and understanding language for a common man to use it. We will acknowledge ur support in the book . regads and thanks, Neeta ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by BEA Weblogic Workshop FREE Java Enterprise J2EE developer tools!
