There is a way to 'fix' this: first make a full backup of the database
directory, then force a database recovery (e.g. by deleting all files in
./ostab and starting the db) to rebuild the index.

However, your data may not be (semantically) consistent after the
exception you reported. If that happens you might revert back to a back-up
version of your data. You do make back-ups, don't you? ;-)
