about sample

hello all,
before i ask something, i want to apologize cause my 
english is not good
  
i want to ask about
1. sample XA and XMLDB. i don't really know what this 
sample use???
please someone tell me or explain it
  
2. in that sample, i can't found some class library of 
java
like tyrex, postgresql etc
where i can get it?
i have explore it from ozone-db.org and cvs
