My position on annotations is somehow mixed - I think
they are usefull in certain situations ( like internal
wiring of xwork-2 , which is basically guice ) but
they
also introduce  unflexibility when you need external
configuration. (Need time to look into sandbox 
though) 

As for S2 integration - such plugin would improve
visibility and popilarity of pico/nanocontainer 
(which is less than those of spring), an my current
perception is that java 5 is required, because such
plugin has to be configured by annotation. 

So this would be possible to have it as subproject 
in nanowar, with own java compatibility setting and
automatically activated profile. 

Another way would be to create it and contribute to 
struts ( but this would require a lot of lobby work )
