It was once split and then moved together. Personally I'd like to see 3
different artifacts again. EJB and JMX are used in production while RMI
never left really the sandbox status. Also it should have been redone using
jremoting. So it seems clear that each of the parts has its own release
cycle.

BTW: Why do you think it is not remoting? EJB is client side, JMX should be
both (but is currently simply exposing the MBeans).
