MX4J supports an easy but proprietary way to define MBeans. Since this was quite wide-spread used I'd like to keep it. Especially since the dep is optional. Personally I never made use of it, but it was the only implementation that was originally available, so I suppose Mike builded code on it. Mike? Any other opinions?
