Jason's message to the plexus committers is below.
This has been under discussion for about a month now: PicoContainer
and Plexus join forces and move to Apache as a single 'new' project.
Its a different place, with a different license, and different
organizational structures, and we'll fourish :-)
IoC kinda started at Apache, and remained controversial for a few
years. Later on, outside of Apache, Spring, Pico, Hivemind, Plexus
and latterly Guice saw the deployments of applications to live go
through the roof, and IoC and Dependency Injection go mainstream for
Java at least.
We need to chat to each committer in turn though, so watch for
emails :-)
