My original thought was to reuse already existing
converters ( in xsteam ) - originally it was placed
into nanocontainer, so xstream dependency was already
there. 

Somehow I do not like idea to proliferate different
implementations of converter stuff again and again

There are coverters  in xwork , in xstream  etc.  - 
does the world around needs yet another converter 
library? 
Why not reuse something proven and acceptable?
( like ConvertUtils from jakarta commons? )
