Sorry, writing this from a different machine so I don't have the original
topic... but regarding the collections in DefaultPicoContainer storing an
Integer so Garbage collection can take place, I realized a simple guarantee
would be to use WeakReferences in startedChildren and startedAdapters:

Since children and adapters hold real references to the objects, then
references should be valid.

I'm checking in the result.
